In his spare time, Jacob and his wife Carol (Zeilinga), along with their four children - Elijah, Isaiah, Clara and Jonah, enjoy traveling to national parks, hiking and spending time with their three dogs. Jacob and Carol are active members in the community. Jacob is a member of the Carthage Lions Club. Carol is a member of Tri Kappa. Both are members of Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church.
